A new year to begin meal planning and getting organized! This year we are going to go on a journey and meal plan our dinners using the 200 Weeknight Dinner E-Book.Each week as you join in you will find my time saving and money saving tips! Please feel free to join in with your own tips! We can all learn together as we provide wonderful food and dinner time memories with our families!

  • Make extra rice for the Salmon Kedgeree dinner recipe.
  • If you made extra Napolitana sauce from the previous week then this can be used as your sauce for the Potato Gnocchi & Tomato Sauce
  • Blend the Fresh Tomato Sauce and freeze into cup portions in zip lock bags for further quick dinners the next few weeks!
  • Use frozen diced onions to save time – I will place one onion per bag so it is easy to work out quantities in recipes.
  • Don’t worry about chopping these cherry tomatoes- just throw them in whole to save time.
  • Make a simple dressing for your salads this week using the ingredients for the Lemon Lamb Chops – olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and dried oregano.
  • Lemon Lamb Chops makes a wonderful entertaining recipe for friends.
  • Grill or BBQ the Lemon Lamb Chops to quickly get this dinner on the table.
  • Boil 3 eggs Wednesday evening for the Salmon Kedgeree.
  • Make extra kedgeree and serve extra portions straight into Friday’s lunchboxes for the family.
  • Buy extra gnocchi and keep it in the fridge for a quick dinner

  • Cherry tomatoes can be a little more expensive but they do tend to keep well in the fridge.
  • Buy tomatoes if you want to save a little money this week.
  • Buy a bag of onions and with a food processor chop your onion.
  • Freeze each onion in a separate zip lock bag.
  • Buy a bunch of lemons while on special and squeeze into ice cube trays ready for dressings and baking recipes.
  • Check the price of can red salmon if tuna is cheaper consider making a Tuna Kedgeree on Thursday evening to save a little money.
  • This week basil, thyme, parsley and scallions are required.
  • Consider growing your own as a start to your herb garden.

  • Buy extra pizza bases and sundried tomatoes and keep it in the cold box
  • Buy cashew and pine nuts and add these to your pantry box
  • If you organize your pantry, flavor and cold boxes you will only have to buy 12 fresh ingredients for the week!
