
Green powder mixes are widely available on the market. They contain alfalfa, barley greens, wheat grass, spirulina, spinach and other green vegetables. Some of them add apple or other fruits to sweeten them up a little bit. Although each type of green vegetable added to the green powder mix has its own strengths (vitamins and minerals it is high in), it’s more important just to get the green powder in and don’t worry about whether or not you’re getting enough nutrients. The few tablespoons you add will be nourishing to your body. Just get it in!
¼ cup whey protein
1 cup water
½ cup ice cubes
½ cup raspberries
¼ cup favorite green powder mix
1 tablespoon apple fiber
Mix all ingredients in a blender till smooth. Drink cold.
