Labor Day Menu – Old Fashioned Lemonade

Ingredients for Old Fashioned Lemonade
citric acid 2 oz / 50 g
lemons, juiced 6
lemons, zested 2
sugar 3 lbs / 1 1/2 kg
water 8 cups

Method for Old Fashioned Lemonade

* In a food processor place the sugar and zest of two lemons
* Blend until fine and slightly oily
* Dissolve remaining ingredients in a large saucepan
* Cool completely then bottle or serve

Tips for making Old Fashioned Lemonade

* It makes 3 litres of concentrate and 20 litres when diluted with water
* Serve this with ice cubes and fresh mint

Hi Mel,
The best place would be a health food store. You will find food grade citric acid there. Hope you enjoy making the lemonade!
