I am not a big fan of making things compliated and this Rocket Birthday Cake is no exception! I bought a large square sponge cake, cut off two triangles for the sides and decorated! That is it. A simple butter icing with sprinkles galore and candy. My son absolutely loved it – especially when we lit the sparklers and the Rocket “took off”.
