My boy turns four at the end of the month and it seems like the second half of the year I will be busy with menu planning for my kid’s birthday parties! This year he has asked for a “Rocket Theme Birthday Party”!

A four year olds birthday party does not have to be mayhem with things quickly getting out of control – my aim is to make this party as stress free as possible! Firstly 5 friends are invited and the party will be short and sweet! It will be at a local park for only 1 hour! That way everyone can leave wanting more rather than the festivities ending in tears {let’s face it we have all been to those parties!}. If you have any more great ideas for a four year olds party – please let me know!!! Especially what works and what doesn’t!

Here is my quick brainstorm for my boy’s party!

The Rocket Birthday Party Menu will be healthy with a few sweet treats thrown in.

  • Rocket Sandwhiches
  • Rocket Low Joule Jelly Cups
  • Colorful cupcakes
  • Star cookies
  • Veggie Sticks
  • Rocket Birthday Cake

Rocket Birthday Party Games

  • 1. Planet Race {Egg & Spoon Race}
  • 2. Splat the Stars {throw beanbags onto cut out stars}
  • 3. Rocket Running Race
  • 4. Pass the parcel on the mat
  • 5. Parachute

Rocket Birthday Party Timeline

  • Kids arrive and place present into birthday present box
  • Kids get their rocket costume & go and kick some planets {bouncy balls}
  • When all children have arrived play active games 1 & 2 & 3
  • Cut the cake & food time
  • Play quietening down games 4 & 5
  • Home time
